The Paperless-ngx UI is mainly for managing documents, tags, and organizations \u2014 <strong>user management is done via the command line<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ChatGPT even states &#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ah, that makes sense \ud83d\udc4d \u2014 the <strong>older 32-bit LinuxServer.io image<\/strong> (or maybe the official Paperless-ngx 32-bit variant) had a slightly different web UI that <strong>did include a \u201cCreate User\u201d option<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>64-bit \/ latest LSIO image<\/strong> you\u2019re now using has removed that option \u2014 probably to simplify the web UI and encourage using the <code>manage<\/code> CLI commands for user management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So even though it looks different, it\u2019s <strong>not a bug<\/strong> \u2014 it\u2019s just a change in the UI between versions.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Definitely not true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I do have a menu for this in my Paperless-ngx installation, no problem creating a new user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say for sure (though tried it). I believe that Postgre as a database is not a condition for a flawlessly running Paperless-ngx installation.
